Full transparency is what we stand on. As you move forward with us, rest assured you’ll never wonder where you’re going or be left in the dark. Here’s our process from start to finish:

  • Initial Meeting
    Right from the beginning, we do as much or as little as you feel comfortable with―but typically a first meeting involves a thorough discussion. A discovery. It’s a chance for a prospective client to open up about themselves; their concerns, goals, plans, expectations. We also spend some time talking about what we do, how we do it, and what you can expect from us. Usually, a prospective client brings along statements from current investments and life insurance policies as well as a list of questions and even their goals. We’ll give you a kit to take home that includes more details on our people and our firm, several informational handouts, and two questionnaires. These are to assess risk and financial goals, giving us a feel for what you value and where you want to go.
  • Start-up Meeting
    Once you return the questionnaires and decide to move forward, we meet again to review the questionnaires with you and discuss our specific ideas on how to help.
  • Investment Proposal
    Once you’re a client, we open accounts with you either in person or electronically through DocuSign. Whatever makes you the most comfortable. When accounts are opened and funded through contributions or transfers, we work up a detailed allocation proposal keeping goals, risk, cash needs, time horizon, current market conditions and tax consequences top of mind. Using professional software to research and screen for the most suitable funds for your specific situation, you can rest assured that all is organized and on track.
  • Your Approval
    We will present our allocation ideas to you, going over what the investment is and more importantly why we chose it for you. You still have final say and your input is welcome at any time through the process. We don’t exert discretionary authority over accounts; meaning we won’t move any funds without your explicit permission. Ever.
  • Periodic Reviews
    Our relationship is ongoing from here on out. At a minimum we connect with you directly every four months to evaluate holdings and any life changes that might require adjustments to your portfolio.

As an independent RIA (aka Registered Investment Advisor), we’re what’s called a fiduciary. Meaning we’ve pledged to always make financial recommendations in your best interest―never for our own personal gain. If any recommendations pose a potential conflict of interest, you’ll be notified in advance.
